In this talk we study the problem of convergence of equilibrium states as temperature goes to zero. We focus on expanding circle maps and the geometric potential, and we will review the main results in the subject. We finish the talk with a construction that provides many examples of non-convergences of equilibrium states as temperature goes to zero.
