In this talk, we will give an introduction to a general class of phase transitions called non-reciprocal phase transitions and its relationship with the Bogdanov-Takens bifurcation. This special class of phase transitions is often characterized by the exceptional points of the non-Hermitian matrices governing the dynamics of the system in the parameter space.
