I will continue Dinesh’s discussion of diophantine approximation in characteristic p by explaining how to interpret Siegel’s theorem for integral points in the context of characteristic p function fields. I will then use these ideas, along with work of Baker, Favre, and Rivera-Letelier, to prove an characteristic p analog of Silverman’s theorem on integral points in orbits.
