The restriction conjecture is an important problem in harmonic analysis which considers how functions behave when their Fourier transforms are restricted to the paraboloid or the sphere. We will discuss the restriction conjecture and how it is connected to other problems. Then, we will briefly talk about related techniques in harmonic analysis.
