This is a lecture for the Rochester Math Circle and UR undergrads. We shall introduce incidence problems in combinatorics, define integers modulo a prime, and prove some algebraic properties of this object. We shall then define a plane over integers modulo a prime, define lines in this context and discuss their geometric properties. In a subsequent lecture, we shall study incidence theory in the plane over integers modulo prime and related combinatorial problems.
