Now that discrete uniformization has essentially been settled, what challenges remain? This second lecture will take a look at a rich variety of problems beyond classic uniformization from the perspective of discretization and computational algorithms. Topics include generalizations of the basic uniformization problem (including metrics with conical singularities), conformal surface immersions, Willmore flow, prescribed curvature problems, and nonlocal isoperimetric problems arising in conformal geometry.
