A translation surface is a metric on a Riemann surface where the transition functions between charts are translations, except at finitely many points that are cone points with angles that are integer multiple of \(2\pi\). Consider the sequence of trajectories between these cone points ordered by increasing length. For almost every translation surface this sequence is uniformly distributed modulo 1. That is, its fractional part is uniformly distributed with respect to Lebesgue measure on \([0,1)\). This is joint work with Donald Robertson.
