I will discuss the effect of collapse of optimal nodes in the solution of Kolmogorov - Nikol’skii problem for the Cauchy integral on compact sets of polynomials in one complex variable. In particular, how many nodal points are needed, and in what configuration on the unit circle, to approximately recover the value of polynomials at 0.
