Subscribe to the department calendar via email
We maintain a low-traffic mailing list called MATH_EVENTS featuring weekly updates from the online calendar as well as occasional messages from faculty members advertising talks and other department events.
To subscribe, send a message to email@example.com with the text

Subscribe to our iCalendar feed
We also publish a news feed of upcoming events in the standard iCalendar format, which is understood by programs like Apple Calendar (Mac), Microsoft Outlook (Windows), Google Calendar (web-based), and many others. Once you subscribe to the feed, your calendar program will automatically fetch and display new events as they’re announced.
From the File menu choose New Calendar Subscription…. A dialog box will appear asking for a URL. Enter:
and click Subscribe. You’ll see a new dialog box with various parameters you can set. Enter a descriptive name, e.g. “UR Math Events”. Set Auto-refresh to Every day and click OK.
Log into your account at Google Calendar. On the left-hand side of the page you should see the heading Other calendars. Click the down-arrow to the right of one of these headings to bring up a menu. Choose Add by URL. You’ll see a dialog box. Enter:
